MD. Dr. İbrahim Karaca Başaran

About Us

Born in 1979, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Karaca Başaran completed his middle and high school education at Tarsus American College. He received his medical degree from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (in English) in 2003. He completed his Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery specialty at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). After completing his mandatory service, Dr. Başaran became an associate professor in 2017 and currently sees his patients at his private clinic in Levent. His hobbies include playing drums, playing basketball, and riding motorcycles.

Experience

Dr. Başaran received his ECFMG certification to work in the US after passing all written and oral exams. He completed his surgical and internal medicine rotations in prestigious hospitals in the US and the UK. He completed his fellowship at Temple Health, Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. He personally examined and operated on nearly 500 patients in various clinics in the US. He trained with renowned surgeons in different areas of plastic surgery, including breast surgery, rhinoplasty, endoscopic facial aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction, and aesthetic corrections after weight loss. He also learned about migraine surgery and deep plane facelifts from leading doctors in the field. He received his basic microsurgery education at Zurich University, Neurosurgery Department in Switzerland.
