Ayten Erdoğan graduated from Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1985 and received specialization training in Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Mental Health between 2000 and 2004 at the same institution. She was appointed as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry in 2008 and promoted to Professor in 2014. Between 2010 and 2014, she served as the Chief of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Department at Bakırköy Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Diseases Hospital. Professor Ayten Erdoğan has authored numerous national and international research articles and has been accredited as an EMDR consultant by EMDRIA (EMDR International Association) in addition to her training in Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
