Dr. Karaaltın was born in Kerkük, Iraq in 1972. His family moved to the United States when he was 6 years old. He completed his primary and secondary education in West Lafayette, Indiana and Orange, Los Angeles. In 1990-2014, Dr. Karaaltin received his medical degree from Istanbul University’s Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He ranked 12th out of 25,000 doctors in the TUS exam for specialization in medicine. He received Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery specialization after a 6-year education in Hacettepe University, Ankara. In 2012, Dr. Karaaltin completed all exams and qualifications of the European Plastic Surgery Association and was accepted as a member of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery (E.B.O.P.R.A.S). Dr. Karaaltin is a member of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and offers ISAPS insurance for cosmetic procedures worldwide.
