About Us
Dr. Lockie’s practice is located at 615 Stafford Road, Stafford QLD 4053. He also provides emergency cover to St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, Brisbane and St Andrew’s Private Hospital, Ipswich. In addition, he consults at a number of locations, including Ipswich, Brisbane CBD, and North West Private.
Experience
Dr. Lockie has over 30 years of experience in the field of surgery. He was trained mainly in the UK before completing an Upper GI Fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and this was followed by a Laparoscopic Surgical Fellowship in Canberra.
Education & Training
Dr. Lockie was awarded his Fellowship from the Irish College of Surgeons in 1985 and he won the Gold Medal at the Intercollegiate Examination in General Surgery in February 2003. He was the first surgeon from Belfast ever to win the Gold Medal. He was awarded his Fellowship from the Australian College of Surgeons in 2006.
