In 1998, Dr. Thomas Pahlitzsch founded the Wittenbergplatz Eye Clinic, the first in the region to perform outpatient cataract surgery. In 1999, the partner clinic at Ring-Center was added. This has grown into Berlin and Brandenburg’s largest eye care network, Lasermed, comprising clinics, medical care centers, and eye laser centers.
