About Us
Mr. Fuan Chan MD FRCSI(Plast) is a highly experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Craniofacial Surgeon, specialized in skin cancer surgery, trauma reconstructive surgery, and breast and cosmetic surgery, including Asian cosmetic surgery, cleft rhinoplasty, and cleft orthognathic surgery. He’s the first Chinese-descent Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Ireland, working full-time at Blackrock Clinic. Mr. Chan graduated from Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and completed his plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic higher surgical training through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He was appointed as a Fellow at the prestigious Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, specializing in reconstructive microsurgery, craniofacial surgery, and Asian Cosmetic Surgery.
Experience
Mr. Chan’s outstanding achievements earned him a one-year fellowship in plastic surgery (craniofacial surgery) at the renowned Ronald Reagan Medical Center, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has also worked with many leading Plastic Surgeons affiliated with UCLA. Mr. Chan has earned numerous awards and gold medals in plastic surgery at national and international scientific meetings, with over 25 peer-reviewed publications, and delivered over 30 presentations at plastic surgery scientific meetings in Ireland, Europe, USA, and Asia.
