In 1986, I graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Siena, achieving a score of 110 cum laude. My thesis was centered on “Breast reconstruction after mastectomy,” a topic in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery.
I am currently responsible for the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery functional unit at the Leonardo Clinic, overseeing 10 beds for acute cases in continuous daytime cycle since 2008. Additionally, I hold the position of Head of the Functional Unit of Aesthetic Surgery, certified by the Order of Doctors. Moreover, I am registered as a Consultant Physician-Surgeon in the Register of Technical Consultants of the Court of Florence, specializing in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, as well as General Emergency Surgery and First Aid. I have obtained the Authorization for Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in accordance with the relevant law.
In 1986, I obtained my qualification as a Doctor-Surgeon with the highest marks (110) and subsequently served as a medical officer in the Italian army during 1987 and 1988. I specialized in Emergency General Surgery and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, earning a perfect score of 110 for my thesis on breast reconstruction after mastectomy. In 1993, I was appointed as the head of the II level Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic in Florence, with authorization to perform Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery as per the law. Additionally, I pursued a Master’s degree in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the University of Padua from 2004 to 2005, under the guidance of Prof. Francesco Mazzoleni, Director of the Chair of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
I am an ordinary member of Sicpre (Italian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery).
