With years of dynamic operation in the medical field, the SOWMED team achieved a significant milestone in 2017 by pioneering endoscopic gastric bypass surgery in Poland. We have since continued to excel in performing ESG surgeries with a track record of successful outcomes. As of 2022, we have completed over 250 gastric reduction surgeries using the ESG method, along with numerous Orbera 365 balloon implantations and dietary consultations. Our dedicated team comprises specialists in general surgery and gastroenterology. Procedures are conducted at the Municipal Hospital, Fr. Raszei in Poznań, where we’ve been overseeing a surgical department for 15 years. Recognizing that gastric bypass surgery is just the initial phase in addressing obesity, our patients receive comprehensive care from a dietitian for a duration of six months.
