About Us
Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Karatepe, the founder of Karatepe Clinic, was born in Ardahan in 1978. He studied medicine at Istanbul University and specialized in general surgery at Istanbul Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital for 5 years. He became an associate professor at Bezmialem Vakıf University in 2011 and a professor at Yeni Yüzyıl University in 2015. Prof. Dr. Karatepe has extensive experience in laparoscopic, invasive pancreatic, liver, and bariatric surgeries, as well as cancer surgery and organ transplantation. He founded Karatepe Clinic to provide hope to more patients and continues to offer hope to people by performing pancreatic cancer and obesity surgeries with his colleagues. Besides being a renowned surgeon, he is also a yoga instructor, certified diver, surfer, and a family man.
