Born in Germany on July 7, 1967, Professor Babür Dora completed his primary and high school education at Ankara TED College. He received his M.D. from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1991 and started his neurology training at Ankara University School of Medicine Department of Neurology, where he earned his degree in 1996. After working with his father, Professor Dr. Farabi Dora, at their private practice for several years, he joined Akdeniz University School of Medicine Department of Neurology in 2000. He was appointed as an Associate Professor in 2004 and as a Professor of Neurology in 2010. Professor Dora is fluent in English and German. He has been the chairman of the Department of Neurology at Akdeniz University School of Medicine since January 2017. He established the Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound laboratory in 2000, the headache outpatient clinic in 2004, and the stroke outpatient clinic in 2010.
