Op. Dr. Türker Karabuğa has an impressive track record of numerous publications and articles in both national and international journals, as well as presenting oral and written papers in various congresses. He has participated in numerous national and international congresses and courses, with a special focus on obesity, and has received degrees and awards in some of them. In 2009, he won second place in the 5th Surgical Research Congress for his poster paper on “Hanger-Needle Designed for Gallbladder Traction During Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.” In 2011, he received first prize in the 6th Surgical Research Congress for the same paper, and later that year, he won second prize in the Aegean Surgery Days’ “Innovation Technology and Inventor Surgeons,” Patent Competition for his invention of “Laparoscopic Stone Collection Forceps.”
